Children make up only 15.3% of residents, against 25.9% typical, and the median age is 37.5. Tenants call a landlord or manager first, so repair and cleaning firms need pages that address apartment communities and say how access and scheduling work.
Language and learning add context. Spanish is spoken at home by 24% of residents, against 17.9% typical, and 20% were born outside the United States (typical: 12%), while 34.3% of adults hold a bachelor's degree against 31.3%. Median household income is $58,555 against $76,686. A Spanish version of one page, written in short sentences, is a sensible first test for a service that sees many bilingual callers.

Competition also comes from Harris County, which counts 3,160 law offices, 3,716 physicians' offices, 2,279 dentists and 1,720 real estate agents and brokers, county figures that show how crowded the map pack is.

The commercial engine
The Johnson Space Center set the city's direction. NASA announced it in 1961, Webster became a bedroom community tied to the Clear Lake high-tech industry, and the center counted 12,541 civil servants and contractors in 2024. Space Center Houston, its visitor center, receives more than 1 million visitors per year, and REBusinessOnline listed Axiom Space, Ad Astra Rocket Co., Voyager Space, Leidos, KBR and Airbus as aerospace firms in Webster in 2025. The Houston Spaceport is a linked industry profile on the city's own economic development page.
Medicine is the largest resident employer. Health care and social assistance employ 1,161 working residents (15.8%), HCA Houston Healthcare Clear Lake sits at 500 W. Medical Center Blvd. with an expansion planned, and REBusinessOnline reported about 2 million square feet of medical space and two Level II trauma centers in June 2025. Clinics, pharmacies, therapy practices and supply firms all draw patients and staff from many nearby cities.
Hospitality and retail follow. Great Wolf Lodge is open in the Flyway district, accommodation and food services employ 1,035 residents (14%) and retail 918 (12.5%), while IKEA and a Sprouts store were among the projects Community Impact listed in March 2026. Clear Creek ISD serves the city entirely, with most residents zoned to Margaret S. McWhirter Elementary, which opened in 2016. A project that has not opened should wait for its own page, and the same goes for new stores along Bay Area Boulevard.
